New and Improved Elevator Pitch
2. Reflection: Since the last elevator pitch, I have completed 6 more
assignments about my business idea. Therefore, I now have new information and
different perspectives to base my pitch on. After looking back on my last
elevator pitch and the peer comments left on it, I noticed some key areas that
needed improvement. I added more specifics and tried to make my pitch as
concise as possible. My main critique was really to push the need for scooter
locks, so I found some more relative statistics.
3. What did you change, based on the feedback? The main feedback that I received was to make it
relate to Gainesville and college campuses more. In order to do this, I brought
in details of scooter theft crimes that happened in Gainesville recently. I
also tried to establish more of a market by comparing what scooter owners spend
their money on instead of the lock. To go away for the summer, it costs on
average 200 dollars a month to store your scooter. With this storage money, you
would be able to pocket the extra money and still have an effective way of
protecting your scooter.
Hi Mady! I thought you did a great job on your pitch! You maintained eye contact with the audience, and clearly outlined why your 3 in 1 tracker would be beneficial in Gainesville. You even provided statistics and data to back up your claim. In addition, you didn't just stick to your argument, you presented a possible counterargument and were able to refute that as well. So, overall I thought your pitch had great flow, clarity and ability to convince a potential buyer.
ReplyDeleteI definitely see you become more comfortable in front of the camera. I enjoyed the details that you added since your last pitch. I do feel like you made an effort to include statistics but they are just for the Gainesville area, which closes your market for those who don’t know where Gainesville is. Great job with the details of your product and what it includes.
